Dress C/O Karma Clothing / Jacket . F21 / Faux Fur Stole . H&M / Shoes . Bakers /

There are few things I love more than a good dress. I think every woman should have one in their cupboards. The type of dress that has just the right amounts of simplicity and sexiness, and this my dear friends is that dress. I've been wanting a head turner dress and boy did this dress turn heads!

I've always been more of a leg girl in terms of the whole "it's either the top half or bottom half" rules of fashion and this Purple Long Sleeve Maxi courtesy of the lovely folks over at Karma Clothing does the trick.

If you guys are unfamiliar with Karma Clothing, they are a fresh new online store who pride themselves on bringing customers quality clothing that are bang on trend at affordable prices! As a student, and an Archi-torture (Hehehe Architecture joke!) at that, I find most of my money goes on copious amounts of printing and energy drinks, meaning buying a £60 Topshop dress isn't quite to budget for me. So brands like Karma Clothing come as a blessing!

I hope you've all been having a wonderful week and are enjoying the Easter holidays!

P.s the tutorial for my lipstick in this post is here!

Vampy Lips.

Finally a pic-tutorial of my infamous Vampy Lip! The Vampy lip is one of my favourites to do because firstly it's very simple and suits all skintones! Yes you heard it right ALL skintones, it's all about finding the right shade of purple for your skin.

The two lipsticks I used were "New Black" by 17 (Boots) and "Vamp It Up" by Wet n' Wild, The 17 lipstick has more red undertones whilst the Wet n Wild one has more of a black/purple undertone, both combined make the perfect colour for me.

The pictures are pretty self explanatory so I'll leave it there for today! But do let me know in the comments section below if you'll try it!

Hoping you're all having a fabulous weekend!

P.S. I'm in the middle of doing a mini re-design so please don't mind the mess! :)

"You could be my Ice Age sugar, lay me down and make me shiver. Blow me like a floating feather, and we'll be dark, we'll be dark, we'll be dark forevermore" I've had 'Wraith' by PEACE stuck in my head for the past few weeks and I am sooooo excited for their album to drop on the 25th! Music aside, it feels like i've been really absent from the blogging community. If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you'll have seen that I'm pretty darn sick. I though i had shaken the dreaded flu/vomit/exorcism bug that's going around but it came back with a vengeance and now I am bedbound and very much wanting to be babied by my parents and wanting a nice bowl of Pepper Soup to be served to me, *cries*. Instead I am having a very lonely mope in bed (send love please!)

As for the outfit, I've had this post in my drafts for a good week now. I love stripes and stripes love me. I just love how laid back stripes feel, you don't have to make much effort and you still feel all ooh-la-la and dressy. Girls, let me tell you, if you haven't bought your tees from the mens section in Primark you are really missing out!!! I much prefer my tees to have a mens fit as they have a higher neckline and aren't clinging to my boobs for dear life. That combined with fitted high waisted AA jeans... and we have a winner, well for me anyway.

Oh and how could I forget the hair?! I'm chanelling my inner Rihanna/Halle Berry circa 2006, don't be alarmed it's not permanent if you know what I mean hehe! I've just been wanting change lately. The afro will make a comeback at some point but for now i'm just protective styling :)

Hope you've all had an amazing week so far :)P.S don't forget to follow me via bloglovin'!

Hello! I haven't done a "New In" in forever it seems, I popped into town for some socks.... and ended up with this *covers face*. I have a shopping addiction!

Anyway I have a deadline tomorrow *sighs deeply* so I better get back to it!

What have you guys bought lately? As always, leave your links below!

Denim Jacket / Vintage . Blouse / Charity Shop . Skirt & Bag / Forever 21 . Shoes / Underground .
It feels like i've been absent from the blogging world for ages, i've been tweeting and tumblring but for whatever reason I felt like a weeny break from blogger, mostly because sitting in bed drooling/fangirling over other people's blogs was interrupting my Architecture degree! I've been feeling so lazy lately which is not good at all especially when my course moves so fast (As i'm typing up this post i'm simultaneously planning out spaces and measurements in my head - Look at my life?!).

Everything in moderation eh?

Even though i'm probably going to spend the next few hours commenting, ooh-ing and ahh-ing over the posts on my dashboard, speaking of which please leave your links! Especially if you've recently followed me! For some reason I can't see some of your blogs!

Onto the clothes. One of the biggest perks of volunteering at a Charity Shop (apart from meeting the most amazing people ever!) are of course the clothes! The shop I volunteer at has the most gorgeous selection of blouses and skirts. The other day I spotted this beauty of a blouse whilst doing a bit of Visual Merchandising for the shop and I had to buy it! In a desperate bid to not look like Auntie Doris, I paired it with a nude faux leather skirt. I quite like the whole granny chic look but I guess there's a fine line between cool granny and well... Auntie Doris haha!

Hope you've all been having a lovely week :) And don't forget to enter my giveaway here! (Ends midnight!)

OUTFIT | Young Blood.

Coat / Topshop . Dress / Forever 21* . Shoes / River Island .

Hello! First of all, thankyou so so so much for all your lovely comments on my last post! I honestly turned into a ball of emotional mush reading some of the responses, you guys are such sweethearts and I wish you all the positive karma and good energy in the world <3

My cousin came to visit the other day and we had such a lovely afternoon exploring Lincoln and lunching. Please ignore my face in these photos, I have no idea what was going on that day but it seems my facial muscles decided to completely stop working properly haha!

I feel silly talking about 'trends' as an Architecture student but well, Monochrome is in again isn't it? I was given a gift card by my friend Philipa for my 21'st back in September and I bought this dress with it. I love the cut, the fabric and obviously the colour. It's so easy to wear. Minimal accesorising, in fact, i sort've wish i wore a black coat instead.. but oh well! You live and you learn through your fashion faux pas I guess!

Hope you've all been having a lovely week :) And don't forget to enter my giveaway here

P.S. My post title for today comes from "Young Blood" by The Naked & Famous

The Power Of Love.

Today I'm bringing you a different type of post to what I usually do. I've been wanting to do this for a while, but i've never quite known how to go about it. Although this blog began as a sort've illustrative self growth journey and has now become more clothing orientated, I still want to keep the personal aspect I started with, after all my style is very personal to me!

This is a post about self love.

In the past three years, a lot has changed. I've had my up's and my fair share of down's. And I don't regret any of it for a second. In my darkest moments, I never, ever thought I would at some point look back and smile. Life isn't perfect, no, but it is beautiful. I'm surrounded with positive loving people who encourage me to be my best, who love me even when i'm too tired to love myself.

Which brings me to my main point. Ladies and gentlemen. If you do anything in life, please let learning to love yourself fiercely and unapologetically be one of the first things you do. If you don't love yourself who will love you? I learned that the hard way. Cherish what you consider flaws, the scratch on your cheek you got as a child, the freckles you don't like, the hair you think is too frizzy, embrace it, because it is who you are.

For too long I was filled with self loathing. A mixture of self esteem issues and cutting comments from people I once held dear to my heart left me in a spiral of deep sadness and just utter exhaustion of being... me I guess. It took some time to understand that I am me and nothing about that will ever change. So I took time out and re-moulded myself. It was hard, and i'm not completely there, but I'm getting there and that in itself is such a wonderful thing.

"The power of love
A force from above
Cleaning my soul
Flame on burn desire
Love with tongues of fire
Purge the soul
Make love your goal"

Yin and Yang. There is goodness in the bad. And sometimes bad in the goodness.

P.S. The title of today's blog post come from "The Power of Love" by the amazingly talented Gabrielle Aplin. Give it a listen here.
