Harnett & Pope.

It’s rare to find brands that are unique in style these days, i’m finding everything is a regurgitated mixture of crop tops, coltranes and acid wash skater skirts, so it’s nice to see fresh homegrown and handmade talent from Christy Harnett and Katie Pope, the creators of the new East London brand, Harnett & Pope

I was kindly invited by Laure, of Harnett & Pope for their grand launch party in June and was offered the chance to view their A/W collection and talk to the creators. I was amazed that everything was made 100% by hand in their studio and it made the clothes seem that much more beautiful.

Harnett & Pope mix over sized pieces and bold colours, think black juxtaposed against neon oranges with leather piping and deep burgundy’s with the most beautiful lace details, Autumnal perfection right? You can see more on their website here, or check them out on twitter here. If you’re in the Brick Lane area, I most definitely recommend a visit to the shop.

Harnett & Pope Tee*

I was also given a small present as I was leaving from the lovely Harnett & Pope ladies, a gift in the form of a chequered orange, turquoise and grey hand made tee. It’s absolutely beautiful but I’m still undecided on how to wear it! If you have any suggestions please leave them below for me! I’d love to know what you think!

Lovely post and it looked like you had a super fun time! I would wear the tee with faux or leather shorts and black sheer tights and ankle boots for Fall! Hope that gives you an idea, or also wear it with a black skater skirt if you like skirts and tights again. 🙂 xx PipEasy Outfits by PipPLEASE JOIN MY AHAI SHOPPING GIVEAWAY FOR A CHANCE TO WIN $30 WORTH OF FREE CLOTHING!

Yay more new London brands aha! Their necklines are amazing and I just adore their use of leather. As for the t-shirt, I think it would look super cool over the top of a thick/full grey skater skirt with a belted waist! xwww.colourmein-sc.blogspot.com

I've never seen anything like these! You're right, so much of what's going round right now is so boring. This is totally different though and I wouldn't know how to categorise it. The fact these are hand made makes me think these ladies are insanely talented – I'm so impressed! You're a lucky girl to have been given that t-shirt; I'd probably do something predictable like wear them with my favourite black jeans because there's as much colour & pattern going on that I can handle already. But I love it. Love it love it. And can't wait to see what you wear it with – it definitely won't have occurred to me and I'll end up wanting to copy you!Florawww.twowithseven.blogspot.co.uk

i can see a lot of contrast fabric in the collection so maybe team it with a faux leather skirt or a even a midi swing skirt! love it!
