My Investment Wadrobe: The White Knit.

This marks the start of a very exciting project I am beginning. I’ve become increasingly annoyed at how throw away my wardrobe has become over the years and I blame a mixture of ‘following trends’ and buying for buying sake if you know what I mean. So, in a bid to curb my frivolous spending, I’ve taken a leaf out of Rachel from Notes From My Closet’s book, and begun an ‘Investment Wardrobe’ series.

To begin, here is my latest acquisition, a white knitted jumper from Warehouse.

 Rib Knit Jumper | Warehouse*

Living in the UK means that a warm knit jumper will always be treasure in my wardrobe,  After growing discontented at the quality of Primark’s Jumpers, and having to buy new ones after every other wash, i decided to give away all my old jumpers and I’m now slowly refilling my wardrobe with new better quality ones in time for Autumn.

I particularly love this Warehouse one because of the detailing on it, the delicate stitches and woven rib paneling make it really stand out.

What say you guys on investment pieces?

A big yes to the whole idea! I've noticed I don't/can't wear 3/4 of my wardrobe and it gets tideous really, so I'm most definitely thinking about jumping on this train 🙂 Love love love the knit!imemmymah

I usually try to buy neutral things without too many frills or patterns so that I can continue wearing it in the future. I still have some clothes that I wear from 6 years ago surprisingly haha. But I agree it's good to have good quality things so you don't have to replace them all the time.

A jumper like this is 100% an investment you can wear it with and over anything and it will keep you snug! I have no shame in re-wearing jumpers until they die :Pcowbiscuits

I think this is a great Idea, my wardrobe is basically Primark's Hall of Fame so I really need to calm it down in there and start buying classic items that will last. This is a lovely jumper too, definitely something that'll get a lot of wear throughout winter.Rosalie xRosalieJayne

I NEED investment pieces so I will be following these posts of yours religiously, oh stylish one!!I love this jumper – any jumper in white ticks my box but I particularly love the ribbing. I wish I could knit them; my boyfriends mum is really handy with a set of knitting needles though so I'll perhaps have to nudge her in the direction of your blog and see if she'll rustle me one up like it!Florawww.twowithseven.blogspot.co.uk

I've just treated myself to a white knit from Urban Outfitters and I'm so in love – I can't wait for it to get colder so I can wear it! I don't think I've ever owned a white jumper before – there's something about it, though – I can't stop looking at it! x

I can relate! So many times I've been shopping and I'll buy all these things and then when I look back I've essentially bought nothing because I don't wear any of them anymore. So I've started shopping by a list that I add to when I please and making the effort to invest in certain items. Sorry for the essay lol, great post!authenticduplicate.blogspot.co.uk

I agree, I have the same problem. I now also make a list of thing I need and not things I want. Otherwise I go shopping without buying something necessary ^-^
