It’s rare to see bloggers talk about ethics on their blog, which is why I really enjoy reading Ron’s blog. She has inspired me to be more thoughtful with my spending habits and look at exactly where my money is going to and what it’s going towards and I think it’s a good habit to keep. She wrote about the Rana Plaza incident in Bangladesh where over 1000 people lost their lives, and in turn both reminded me and inspired me to do my research on what i'm buying, the brands that i work with, and generally lead more of a conscious and thoughtful lifestyle. Her photos are always wonderfully shot, and she's a sweetheart in real life too! Anyone who buys me baked cheesecake is a good person in my book. Check out her ethical clothing directory too, it's very helpful if you're not sure where to start in regards to switching from fast fashion!
I once went shopping with Sherida and she said ‘I don’t see black, white or grey, just bright colours’ and I think that this is a good way to describe her blog and her personality. It is quite simply a wonderfully put together explosion of colour, words and photography. I may be heavily biased as I consider her not only a friend but a sister now, but her blog is just a visual delight in every sense of the word. Her writings on growing up as a displaced black girl hit home hard, and her piece on friendships, left me with tears in my eyes (happy tears though!). It's wonderful to read a blog that is both so open to vulnerability yet so strong. She's also a very talented illustrator and graphic designer too!
I hope you enjoy these blogs as much as I do, let me know if you've found any other brilliant blogs below! As always have a wonderful week.
